Held for the seventh consecutive year, the Award is a show-cum-contest that aims to encourage Hong Kong clothing enterprises to start their own collections and brands by working more closely with creative talents. With better and more marketable designs, Hong Kong clothing enterprises are actually strengthening their value-added service and raising their overall competitiveness.

For this year's Award, all entrants are grouped into three categories: "Formal Attire", "Office Attire" and "Casual & Jeans-wear". After preliminary screening, the panel of judges has shortlisted 12 collections, each represents a collaboration of creative ingenuity and market sensitivity. On the day of the Award, these collections will be paraded before an audience including members of the judging panel to compete for five prizes: "Overall Winner", "Formal Attire Category Winner", "Office Attire Category Winner", "Casual & Jeans-wear Category Winner" and "Lectra Award for Best Application of Technology". Results will be announced and prizes will be presented during the show.
