The three-day event, jointly organized by the the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Beijing City Sub-council), aimed to promote the creative ingenuity of Hong Kong on the Chinese Mainland. Along the theme "Innovation + Style: Exploration of Unlimited Business Opportunities", the promotion highlighted the immense innovative and creative capacity of Hong Kong and showcased to Beijing buyers and traders the best of Hong Kong designs - both in products and in services. The fair also created a platform for information and experience exchange between exhibitors and visitors.

A total of 95 Hong Kong enterprises exhibited at the fair, bringing with them their finest and latest merchandise -- covering clothing and clothing accessories, fur garments, watches and clocks, jewelry, fun household products, toys and gift items. During the event, participating enterprises also marketed their services in innovative designs, brandname management, video, audio and visual imaging. With these services, Mainland counterparts will be better positioned to upgrade and expand their scope of businesses, to launch their labels, to develop new products and to come up with more effective marketing strategies.

The fairground layout and decoration complemented the exhibition theme ¡V both of which made reference to Hong Kong's unique cosmopolitan features, such as the city's impressive architecture as well as its energetic people. The fairground's open concept conveyed and echoed the unbeatable vibrancy, the diverse vitality of Hong Kong. There were also impressive multi-media setups and interactive stations to allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the spirit and feel of Hong Kong and get a taste of the city's multifaceted stylish living.
