Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest 2005 -
Promotes new talents and Hong Kong's fashion industry

The annual Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest, first introduced in 1977, has over the years, helped identified an impressive list of creative talents, many of whom are now reputable names in the local and international fashion arena.

For the next Contest, to be held on 18 January 2005 (the opening day of World Boutique, Hong Kong), 16 contestants have been selected to compete for 9 coveted awards.

This year, the contest is divided into three groups, namely, Casual Street Wear, Contemporary Daywear and Partywear. The judges to be presented the following awards: "Overall Winner Prize", "Casual Street Wear Group Winner", "Contemporary Daywear Group Winner", "Partywear Group Winner", "Style Hong Kong Magazine Prize", "WestEast Magazine Prize", "U-Right Prize for the Most Innovative Use of Fabrics", "Sau San Tong Prize for the Best Silhouette" as well as "Photographer's Prize for the Most Outstanding Collection".
